At the end of a long dirt road, nestled in thick woods, Laura Harvey’s home studio is truly off the beaten path. The studio is a visual treat – bursting with the many curious findings and oddities that Laura uses in her artwork, as well as countless fun and funky collectibles, works-in-progress and finished work. Laura’s assemblages, collages and mixed media paintings are as unique and varied as the materials she uses to create them. Each piece is a layered journey into a world of ephemera, which the artist has collected over many years.

George Greenamyer is the sculptor of many narrative public artworks nationwide including “Daniel Webster, Farmer of Marshfield” at the Ventress Library. He is now focused on non-commissioned “message” sculpture. Three are in process and four are installed on the property.George will be giving forging demonstrations in his steel fabrication and forging shop.

Viola Käumlen is a photographer and book artist. Discover the beautiful marsh outside Viola’s studio that has inspired much of her work as a photographer and book artist. Her photo series will carry you into such magical worlds as ‘black ice’ and ‘fire-walk’ and ‘scraps’. She will also share her recent fascination with encaustic, the ancient medium of beeswax used with pigments to paint abstracts or applied to photographic collages.

Craig Bloodgood has recently moved into a studio below the fantastic barn apartment on the grounds of the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury where he is the Contemporary Curator.This is where he spends most of his time creating projects like the 'rolling balls' for the Boston Children's Museum. He is currently creating sculptures using a wide variety of discarded toys and game parts. His constructions resonate as whimsically serious or seriously whimsical. J Michael Sullivan has been a professional photographer since the late 1970s. He was one of the first users of Photoshop beta 1.0 back in 1989, has written many articles on electronic publishing, lectured at MacWorld and the Seybold Seminars, and even published a book on desktop scanners. An award-winning photographer and art director, cur-rently he operates The Printwright Studio for a select clientele producing limited archival editions of artwork as well as attending to and exploring his life-long love of photography as art.

Bettina Lesieur’s style is characterized as traditional; her medium is oils. Featured in the gallery display is an impressive variety of landscapes, seascapes, etc., some inspired by her travels through the very country-side of Europe made famous by the work of old masters. You can also see an array of South Shore, Cape Cod and the Islands scenes, which easily explains the gathering of interest of Bettina’s work amongst art enthusiasts of a widening area.
