Does your child like to create art? North River Art Society is offering Wednesday, Early Release Day Art Classes for Marshfield students Grades 1-5

During this 10-week session, students in grades 1-5 will enrich their artistic expressions in a fun and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable expressing their unique talents to create works of art. Students will work with a wide variety of media including drawing, painting, collage, sculpture and more. Art from the world's varied cultures and the contributions of major artists will serve as inspiration.

The winter session of classes will begin on Wednesday, March 9th and be held each Wednesday through May 18th. Drop off is flexible to accommodate the various school release times but will begin at 1:00pm and pick up is 3:15pm. Students are welcome to bring a snack.

Classes will be held at North River Art Society (NRAS), 157 Old Main Street, Marshfield.

Details: We hope to offer two classes during this winter session, preferably by grades 1-2 and grades 3-5.  If we have fewer registrations than expected, we will run one class with the first 15 registered. Cost for the 10-week session is $300 for children of NRAS members and $345 for non-members. Materials will be provided by NRAS.  Additionally, NRAS will follow the Marshfield school calendar for snow days and all local, and state Covid guidelines will be observed. Masks will be required for all students and teachers.

Classes will be taught by professional art educators
