ARTIST STATEMENT: “ A painting can sometimes say what cannot be put into words.” It is an honor to be able to say I work in the arts! I am a plain air and studio oil painter for over twenty years. My interest lies in working to capture the beauty of what we see in light and color, and although I am primarily a pallet knife painter when outdoors, I use those color studies and paintings to inform my decisions and creativity in the studio when working on larger pieces, portraits, and still life. Currently I have completed my studies at the Academy of Realist Art in Boston, a traditional atelier.
