Join Christine Bodnar for a 2-hour demo where she will discuss her process, materials and inspiration.
We recommend bringing a notebook and pen to take notes.
I can always remember having a drawing tool in my hand. My need to see through drawing was important to me, this was something I could do alone and gave me great joy. The fascination for color and how it could change the mood and feeling of a moment in time, came with my love for painting. The introduction of pastels became part of that love through their vibrant and immediate qualities. Through the course of a career in commercial printing, graphic design, and educator, I have found myself in the best place possible. I was told once during post graduate studies to just “keep painting“. Today, I am a painter who balances her time between teaching adult classes and growing as an artist.
Interpretation is contemporary realism with an expressive style. Christine has earned the Eminent Pastelist honor from the International Association of Pastel Societies. Her paintings have been shown in museums and galleries throughout the U.S. in national and international juried exhibitions and are in private collections across the country.
PLEASE NOTE: This demo will take place at Friendship Hall down the street from NRAS at 83 Old Main Street Marshfield Hills.
